Trekking at Cahir Equestrian Centre

Enjoy the breathtaking scenery on your ride through Cahir Park by the banks of the river Suir. Watch the swans glide by and the salmon leap and stop off to admire and explore the famous Swiss Cottage nestled in the woods.

Perhaps you would prefer to look across the famous 'Golden Vale' towards the Knockmeladown Mountains, the Comeragh Mountains and Slievenamon from the lower slopes of the Galty mountains. Whatever your preference the area around our centre abounds in fantastic scenery that is also steeped in history.

On arrival at the centre, riders will be assessed by qualified instructors for their level of experience.

Our treks are tailored to suit the ability of each small group, family or
individual. So whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced rider you can be sure to have an enjoyable experience.

Each rider is assessed and a suitable horse provided.
